Community Meeting Scheduled on Cross Street Plaza

The North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council’s Public Safety Committee will host a meeting on Thursday, March 4, to address issues evident in the current design of the Cross Street sidewalk plaza area. City Councilor Sal LaMattina will attend the meeting, along with State Rep. Aaron Michlewitz and a representative from the City of Boston’s Transportation Department.

The Councilor and State Representative met at the site, which straddles the intersection of Cross Street and Salem Street in the North End, in mid-December. Representatives from the state and city’s transportation departments were also on hand, and all agreed that the reconfiguration of the plaza is necessary.

The meeting will be held at the Nazzaro Center starting at 6 p.m., and all residents and business owners are encouraged to attend.
